Learn to Lead

Training for Emerging Managers

Previously only available as a B2B offering, Blue Shoes Leadership is bringing their signature program Learn to Lead to the public.

In this 6-week group training course, you'll go from being a manager feeling lost to a leader ready to inspire high performance.

Are you newly promoted and wondering "now what?"

Have you moved industries and feel out of your depth? Maybe you're a manager who is afraid they are going to find out you have no idea what you’re doing. Have you been faking it-- and the ‘making it’ part isn’t coming yet?

This is exactly why we designed this program – we’ve been there.

Aside from the promotion offer letter and a new title, most managers never receive training. As a matter of fact, 58% of new managers never receive training, and over half of employees surveyed by Harvard Business Review trust strangers more than their managers. While these stats are kinda horrifying, the worst part is that when we share this – no one is surprised.

You’ll leave this program confident in your leadership skills, excited about your 90-day plan and supported by a cohort of classmates that you can depend on.

Week-by-Week Program Breakdown

  1. What is Leadership and Leader Identity

  2. Battling the Impostor Syndrome

  3. Owning Feedback & Conflict Like a Boss

  4. Motivating Performance: Up, Down, and Out

  5. Time & Energy Management

  6. Intentional Recognition Giving

Don't just take our word for it...

"I feel like I actually know what I'm doing as a leader, and when I don't, I know I can lean on my group for the answers."

- First-Time Manager, e-commerce company

"The class really helped my confidence as a manager. I'd read some books before, but never had the confidence I have now. I feel ready to handle the tough stuff."

- People Manager, tech company

According to a Gallup 2016 poll, only 18% of managers demonstrate a high level of talent for managing others.

In the same year, a McKinsey & Company study revealed 77% of managers believed they ‘inspired action’.

As you can see – we have a leadership gap that many companies aren’t investing in closing. That’s why, by customer demand, we are bringing our program to the hands of people who can close the disconnect as soon as tomorrow -- the managers themselves.
